Spike and Joan Rivers
"There's not a day goes by I don't think of Spike" . Spike a yorkshire terrier belonged to Joan and she often mentioned him in her stand-up routines. They travelled the world together. Spike was small for a yorkie and could sit under her seat on planes. They visited the Colosseum in Rome and the Acropolis in Athens. Spike lived until he was 18 years old. He died the day before 9/11. "I thought I would never get over it when he died" Joan said. But she believes the best way to get over bereavement of a dog - is to get another dog - and she has.
