Carlyle and Fred Astaire During the filming of The Notorious Landlady 1962, Kim Novak gave her co star, Fred Astaire a siamese cat. He called it Carlyle after her character in the film. Fred adored the cat, which went on to appear with him on the Bob Hope Tv special in 1964.
