TOWSER - Worlds Top Mouser. 28,899 mice
The Guiness Book of World Records holder for Top Mouser.
Towser was a female long haired tortie tabby cat.
She lived at Glenturret Distillery at Crieff in Scotland and was in charge of rodent control. For nearly 24 years she lived and worked at the worlds oldest working distillery catching mice.
Her tally of mice was estimated at 4 a day for 21 years totalling 28,899 mice - and so she entered the record books and legendary status. There is a statue erected to her in the grounds of the distillery
