Loki and Mickey Rourke
"The dogs were there when no-one else was there".
Mickey has always attributed his dogs with saving him through the worst years of his divorce, downward spiralling career and personal problems. During his Golden Globe Jan 11th 2009 acceptance speech he said "I'd like to thank all my dogs. The ones that are here, the ones that aren't here anymore, because sometimes when a man's alone, that's all you got is your dog. And they've meant the world to me".
Loki would travel with Mickey all over the world and make appearances on the red carpet and also accompany him to Press venues. Described as "the love of my life" she died in his arms in Feb 2009 at the age of 18 years.
