Rufus and Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill owned many animals throughout his life. He owned two poodles, many cats and a blue macaw called Charlie. In his will Churchill requested that there "should always be a marmalade cat named Jock in comfortable residence" at Chartwell Manor his home from 1922 to 1965. Jock the third was in happy residence in 2004. Charlie the macaw who was born in 1899 and Churchill aquirred in 1937 was still going strong at the grand age of 104!.
