Bluebell Woods

Welcome to the Bluebell Woods.
All seems quiet and still deep in a wood yet nothing could be further from the truth. Trees are teaming with life. There is an abundance of activity going on right under your nose. Rabbits burrow through the tree roots and birds nest in their trunks. Squirrels skip along the branches and butterflies dance around them. The trees themselves can be ancient relics, hundreds of years old. Surviving war and famine, outliving great leaders and stars. Yet they soar into the sky silent and stoic never revealing what they have seen and heard through the decades. Sweeping the woodland floor an amazing array of bluebells. Their striking vivid blue complimenting the simple green of the leaves. Pretty, sweet and delicate but faithful and reliable, returning year after year, forever protected by the strength and majesty of the trees.

Harry Smith

Much loved and greatly missed.
