CHAMPION The Wonder Horse
As soon as the theme tune strikes up, those of a certain generation join in with the words. Champion the wonder horse aired on Tv in the 1950's. There were only 26 episodes made. Champion was a chestnut colour and was distinguished by his blonde tail and mane, four white stockings and wide facial blaze. Accompanied by Rebel the dog, a GSD, Champion always rescued accident prone Ricky after a series of adventures.
Champion belonged to Gene Autry and was actually the third 'Champion' he owned and trained.
