MICK THE MILLER - Racing Greyhound
A legend in his lifetime.
A racing dog so famous he is remembered fondly to this day.
Born in June 1926 Died 1939.
He was owned by Mrs Arundel from England. During his 3 year racing career he became the first dog to win the English Greyhound Derby twice. First in 1929 then again in 1930. This record was not beaten until 1973. He sired two outstanding pups. Mick the Mighty and Mick the Maiden.
When he died his body was stuffed and he went on display for many years at the Natural History Museum in London. He was later moved to the Walter Rothschild Zoo Museum in Hertfordshire.
